Lower back Pain, Numbness in both thighs and hands
Patient FR came into my office in late May 2013 complaining of severe lower back pain with severe numbness in his right upper thigh and a feeling that he described as if his feet were on fire as well as numbness in his hands and a stiff neck. His condition started six months ago and has been getting worse. He stated that he lost his house in Hurricane Sandy and worked 12-15 hours a day for 6 months straight to try and get his home back to normal. He was diagnosed with sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome. After a lengthy spinal analysis and X-Rays of the neck and lower back, I determined that patient FR had suffered a pinched nerve in his neck and in the upper and lower lumbar spine. 12 Chiropractic Adjustments later and patient FR felt no neck stiffness and no lower back pain and no more numbness in his hands. He still had burning in his feet. Patient FR continued with Chiropractic care at a rate of 3 visits per week and occasionally 2 visits per week and he is now almost completely symptom free. Removing the nerve interference’s within the cervical and lumbar spine of patient FR has allowed the patient, FR, to repair and restore himself back to normal.

Migraine Headache Relief With Chiropractic Care
Patient A.M. suffered from severe migraine headaches everyday for the past three and a half years. The headaches were debilitating, and being a single mom with a young child, life was very difficult. MRI exam of her brain was negative and dark rooms and silence and prescribed drugs became a part of her life.
On her first visit to the office she stated that she takes 300mgs of Topamax and 75mgs of Nortriptilene daily. I examined the patient Chiropractically to find if there was a cause of her headaches. Examination revealed two cervical vertebrae out of the normal alignment. These segments were very painful to touch. Chiropractic care was started and after 5 adjustments the patient said that this was the first time in three and a half years that she went two days without a headache.
After 15 adjustments and 5 weeks later, her M.D. reduced her medication to 100mgs of Topomax and 25mgs of Nortriptilene. I feel confident that she will be off all medication in a short time. As a Chiropractor, what makes my profession so unique is that I don’t treat the symptoms but I look to find a cause of the symptoms, then remove the cause, and then step back and watch the awesomeness within the patient heal themselves.

Patient I.D. entered the office on the first week of December 2010 complaining of severe lower back pain. She rated her pain on a scale of 1-10, (10 being the worst) as a 7 on a good day and a 10 on a bad day. She stated that she lifted a heavy turkey on Thanksgiving and then her pain started. She had prior disc surgery, discectomy. She had numerous positive ortho’s as well as inflammation in the lumbar spine, hypertonicity in the lumbar paraspinals, and a antalgic lean left 2 degrees. She was treated with specific Chiropractic adjustments and 7 days later she has made vast improvement and wants to know when she can return to the gym to exercise.

Sciatic Pain?
Many people suffer from pain radiating from the lower back down the back of the thigh and continuing down below the knee into the calf and sometimes down the front and side of the leg. Patients describe this pain as sharp, burning, stabbing, throbbing, jolt like pain. It can be constant or it can be intermittent.
The sciatic nerve is comprised of branches of nerves which exit from the lower back and upper sacral segments. If you were to look at the sciatic nerve you would see that it’s one of the largest nerves in the body width wise. Now, nerves just don’t cause pain for the sake of pain. Most of the time, the sciatic nerve becomes painful because it becomes irritated. When one of the vertebrae in the lower back shift out of its normal position it can irritate the sciatic nerve and cause pain. There is no drug that can put that vertebrae back into its normal position. If the sciatica is very severe drugs won’t even give temporary relief. I have been assisting patients with this condition for the past 35 years.
As a Chiropractor, I will analyze the stucture of the lumbar vertebrae and sacrum and then correct the cause of the sciatic pain and remove the irritation. Stop suffering needlessly from this condition.
